What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a modern way to straighten your teeth, using a series of clear plastic aligners that will gradually move your teeth into place. These aligners are made specifically for you and the best part is that they are virtually invisible! The aligners are changed every two weeks so the teeth continue to move as planned. You should wear the aligners all day and night, only removing them to eat and clean your teeth. You can brush the aligners with your toothbrush and toothpaste and we will also give you some special cleaner in which to soak them.

How does Invisalign work?

Invisalign works the same way traditional orthodontics works, by applying force to teeth in order to make them move. But Invisalign is different in that there are no metal brackets or wires. The forces are applied by the clear plastic aligners, which were made from a computer generated model of your teeth. This model allows the dentist and technician to visualize the movement of your teeth from start to finish. From this computer simulation, your series of aligners are made and shipped to our office.

How long does it take?

Treatment time can vary, usually between 6 and 24 months, with the average being about 12 months. Remember that once your teeth are moved, you will need to wear retainers at night so that your teeth do not shift back to where they were.

How much does it cost?

Based on your individual case treatment cost varies from $5200-$7800. We are pleased to offer in office interest free financing for your time of treatment (generally 1 year), after your initial down payment.  This fee includes all of your Invisalign aligners, retainers, cleaning tablets, storage cases, and complimentary bleach for whitening your teeth. Should you lose an aligner, there will be a replacement fee.

What do I have to do?

Approximately every two weeks, you will begin wearing a new set of aligners, advancing you to the next stage of your treatment. Aligners generally need to be worn 22 hours a day. This means you should only remove them to eat and to clean your teeth and aligners. To monitor your progress, you will also have occasional checkups with your doctor, usually only every six to eight weeks. At every stage, you will be able to see how much closer you are to having the smile that reflects the real you.

Will Invisalign work for me?

There is a very good chance that Invisalign will work for you! Most of the patients that can be treated with traditional braces can also be treated with Invisalign. When we first started treating patients using Invisalign, we were only doing simple tooth movements. Now, even complex cases can be treated successfully.
